Born and raised in the United States, Milena Dominique is an Ecuadorian-American singer/songwriter. Milena’s love for music was clear at the tender age of five. She was selected as one of the lead singers for her school chorus where Milena received top recognitions and awards. She has already performed in Europe, South America, and Australia. Her 13 years of classical training and two operatic had a direct impact on her musical career. Milena’s untiring and persistent effort to sharpen her vocal range and perfect pitch gained her the distinction to perform at her high school graduation, breaking the 42-year old tradition of being an act reserved for the top chorus professors.
Education was always a focal point in Milena’s life. She studied Vocal Performance, English, and Political Science at Florida State University and graduated in 2016. Her roles as a personal vocal coach, ghostwriter for artists, and the opportunities to sing the National Anthem at nationally televised events strengthened and showcased her natural talents.
Milena is currently working on her solo project, creating a unique brand that through her music she will encompass her passion and talent for humanity overall. Her humanitarian goals stretch far beyond her love for music and performing. She feels blessed that her God-given talent and musical passion is the path for her purpose. Milena made her debut in the exciting Latin music world with songs that awaken the senses. She paired with Chimbala, currently one of the hottest artists in the Dominican Republic, and producer Mayinbito, who’s worked with talents such as Pitbull, Prince Royce, and Leslie Grace. Her first single, “Frío Calor,” brought to the stage her passionate roots and Latin culture blending love, spice, and sexy rhythms. “Frío Calor,” inspired by the unapologetically headstrong and passionate Frida Kahlo and Santana's "Smooth," is clearly a love story between music and Latina heritage. She recently released a remix produced by Nico Clinico and has seen an overwhelming acceptance by her listeners and the Zumba community, taking it by storm worldwide.
After the exciting success of her first single, “Frío Calor ft. Chimbala,” Milena Dominique followed up with her second record, “Fiesta Latina,” an upbeat and playful Latin pop track with an urban flow blended with the new wave of afro-pop. It was produced by Mr. Vla, who has worked with artists such as Johann Vera, alongside Mayinbito. “Fiesta Latina” embraces the cheerful and festive nature of Latinos, while tipping a hat to her beloved Ecuador.
Milena is an artist for the world and her passion for people drives her to work hard, manage continuous stamina in an ambitious industry, and maintain humility. Never forgetting her roots nor those who have helped her climb is always at the forefront of her heart. She is in the pursuit of peace via her voice.
