Johandy

Johandy Díaz, from Santiago, Dominican Republic, is a singer and songwriter who has devoted his life to passing on emotion and joy through his music. His talent showed early and pushed him toward a career in music.

After moving to the United States in 2008, he faced the challenge of adapting to a new world and found refuge in music, standing out at school singing in Spanish for a mostly English-speaking crowd. His turning point came when he joined EQS Música: his bachata version of Ed Sheeran's Perfect reached number 20 on Spotify Spain, and his music has appeared on major playlists like Bachata Lovers and Bachata Rising, reaching millions of listeners.

He was named best bachata artist at the Latin Boston USA Awards in 2017 and 2018, joined the LOS CUATRO show in Los Angeles, and earned the support of influential DJs in Europe. After pauses during the pandemic and for family reasons, he came back strong in 2022 with La Culpa. With EQS Música, he is working on new songs and his next album while preparing to tour Latin America and Europe again.
